| 109 lower controlarm |

Front lower control arm of the 109 chassis tend to crack for numerous reasons. The main reason is metal fatigue after 30 years plus use. But also maintenance is to blame, I.E. worn shock absorbers, loose steering joints, loose King pins bad wheel alignment. There is a difference in the reinforcement of the arm, seen on the second photo. The round is reinforcement is the earlier one and weaker, the oval reinforcement is the later and stronger version.
