Oil is not only a lifeline in that it is a lubricant to your engine; it is also a live insurance for your engine. Regular oil change is essential but also essential is quality oil. The pictures show an engine were either no oil change took place for a long time, or the changes were made with low-grade oil. High quality oil does not only lubricate the engine but also cleans the engine internally. That’s also the reason for frequent oil changes, so that the contaminants the oil carries can leave the engine and be deposed off. Build up oil-sludge blocks oil channels particular small ones from the valve train and oil-tensioners of timing chains.
